"When Laura realizes that Richard is really gone, she tells the police, and everyone else that Richard killed Ciji. Jeff Munson offers Kenny a job and Ginger a contract in Nashville, so the Wards decide to move. Diana and Chip decide to go to New York after all. Karen tells her about Chip and Ciji's affair in an attempt to get her to stay. Gary's preliminary hearing is coming up, but Gary's spirit is broken and he won't cooperate. Mitch thinks if Gary would work with them he could get the charges dropped. Abby wants Mitch to request Gary must go to a sanitarium as a condition of release. "On the way to the mountains, Karen breaks her ankle at a gas station. She has to stay overnight at the hospital. There is only 1 motel nearby, and she wants Mac and Paula to stay there. The motel only has 1 room with a twin bed, so Mac says he'll sleep in the truck. It starts pouring rain, and Mac has to change his flat tire. Then he is squirted by a skunk. Paige comes home to find her apartment trashed and Rick's key missing. Ted, who found out that Mort gave her Rick's letter and key, follows Paige and harasses her to help him. Scared of him, she runs to Greg's ranch, and Greg says he'll take care of Ted. Paige and Greg sleep together. She find's Rick's key in Greg's room as Greg wakes up. She's suddenly scared that he killed Rick, and runs out into the pouring rain. Greg comes out and yells at her to get inside. Ted is out there, and yells at her that what he told her about Greg being the murderer is true. Greg yells not to believe him. Paige hides."

"Julie shoots Danny but misses. Frank hears and talks her out of it by telling her not to become like Danny. Pat is taken off life support and dies as Frank sings to her. Michael and Linda sleep together, and he tells Karen that he is going to marry Linda. Val tells Danny she wants to get back together and will run away with him. He agrees and drives off in Val's car. He's pulled over and police tell him the car was reported stolen, and they arrest him. Val and Gary, watching from a distance, hug. Anne faxes a fake marriage certificate to the accountant, and sets it up to be wired to her own account she set up in Paige's name. Tom and Paige get ready for their wedding ceremony. Greg tells Tom that he set him up, and will only clear him if he leaves the country. Paige is crushed when its discovered that Tom is gone. Gary proposes to Val. Mac and the police find evidence that proves that Dianne has been terrorizing Karen. Dianne goes crazy, and is taken to a psych ward, where they find LS"

"Anne sleeps overnight on a park bench, and her purse and suitcase are stolen. Everyone she goes to for help is too busy to see her. Steve decides to go back to his logging town, and Kate decides to help him move. Claudia goes to Steve's and hides her gun in his van. Claudia calls the police saying Steve is agitated and stole her gun. The police stop Steve's van and find the gun. Steve tells Kate that having the gun violates his parole. Steve pushes a policeman, and another officer shoots and kills him. Linda can't find her tape, but finds the one of Paige, and puts it in his car. The police question Paige as she was the last one to be seen with him. The officer calls his partner - and it's Tom Ryan! Frank decides to go back to work for Mac. The gang wants Jason to join them, but Mac and Frank beat them up and they're arrested. Karen is shot with a paint pellet by a group of teens, and chases them in her car. "Val goes to Florida against Gary's wishes, where she learns that Mary Robeson was Laura's real mother, and Greg had her set up and sent to prison. She calls to alert Karen, but they can't find Meg. Greg meanwhile, has threatened Mary to stay away from Meg and leave town. Greg decides to quit, and gives 13% of his company to Claudia, 13% to Paige, and 13% to Meg, with Mac and Karen as her trustees. Alex sleeps with Kate and tells Claudia and Vanessa he genuinely has feelings for Kate. Claudia fires him, but Paige rehires him, so Claudia threatens to tell Kate about his affair with her and Vanessa. Greg sleeps with Paige, but then pulls away, and says he'll be around.
