Swamp Thing: The Series, is a science fiction, action/adventure television series based on the DC Comics character Swamp Thing. It debuted on USA Network on July 27, 1990 and lasted three seasons for a total of 72 episodes. It was later shown in reruns on the Sci Fi Channel.

"The main series characters are introduced. Swamp Thing first meets 11-year-old Jim Kipp whose divorced mother, Tressa, is visiting her mother\u2019s home. Jim encounters Humphrey, a dwarf who has escaped from the evil Dr. Arcane. Tressa struggles with raising her son as well as finding her magic powered necklace, called \u201cthe emerald heart\u201d in the swamps."
